Gotta love 50's sci-fi
Wow,I never tire of watching the old 50's and 60's sci-fi movies..radiation is usually the culprit. I remember watching a lot of these movies on late night television as a kid growing up in the 70's. Before cable..late night on Saturdays was the only time to get the horror and sci-fi pics back then. After the 1100 local news..we had a show called Chiller theater..hosted by all the usual creepy hosts who would introduce the movie...Seymour,Elvira,Vampira..etc. Ah..the good ole days of three channels. I now get over 100 channels but seems as if there was more quality movies on the three back then..than the 100 today..lol.

But The Mantis is our FRIEND!!
Pretty good trailer for a movie that looks ridiculous on itÂs execution, but doesnÂt look half bad. I like the mantis effects here! Unfortunately though, the rear projection shots look bogus.

Nothing Special
This trailer is pretty standard fare for movies of this time (and caliber). Although the movie ranks high on my list of giant bug movies (in fact, it's probably #2, right behind Tarantula), this trailer bored me to death. Some of the more memorable effects are shown, and the quality of the transfer is really decent, but it's such a plain presentation that I can only give it three stars.
